Your go-to resource for answers about our mobile dog grooming services in Nashville, Franklin, Dickson, Bellevue, Fairview, and West Nashville. Whether you’re curious about how doorstep pet grooming in Fairview works, the benefits of a mobile dog bath in Franklin, or how I provide stress-free grooming for anxious dogs and gentle senior dog grooming, you’ll find it all here.

How does mobile grooming work?

My fully equipped mobile unit comes to your location, offering the same services as a grooming salon without the travel or stress.

Is mobile grooming safe for my dog?

Yes! I hand-dry all pets (read blog-no cage drying), use gentle shampoos, and adjust techniques for anxious or senior dogs.

What should I do to prepare for the grooming appointment?

Just make sure your pup has had a potty break and is comfortable before I arrive. I am on a time schedule and will need to get started right away, so please have parking sorted out ahead of time — no moving cars at the last minute.

My van is about 20 feet long, and I also need turn around room, and to be within 100 feet of a water outlet. I also have a few more appointment requirements .

Do you groom large breeds?

We specialize in small to medium-sized dogs and have a weight limit of 55 lbs for our mobile grooming unit. This ensures every pup has a safe, comfortable, and stress-free experience. If your dog is close to this weight, feel free to reach out and we’ll be happy to discuss your pet’s needs.

Is it possible to change my date?

Absolutely, as long as you provide us with a minimum 24 hours notice, to adjust your date-depending on availability.

I have an adult dog that has never been professionally groomed—can you help?

I currently offer first-time professional grooming only for puppies between 2–10 months old. Starting early makes grooming easier and less stressful for your pet—and for me as the groomer. I do not take on adult dogs for their very first professional grooming, unless professional grooming style was implemented at home and your dog was exposed to a blow dryer, hair clippers etc.

Do you need to be home during the appointment?

It’s best if you’re home at the beginning and end of the appointment, but arrangements can sometimes be made if needed. Once you are booked for regular grooming sessions and your dog is comfortable with we can discuss other options. But for the first time, it would be a good idea to be home.

What form of payments do you accepts?

I accept cash, Venmo, cash-app and Zelle. Payment is due at the time of service. I do not invoice or bill later.

What dog breeds do you groom?

I groom all breeds that require haircuts and are up to 55 lbs. From fluffy doodles to silky spaniels, I specialize in keeping your pup looking and feeling their best with safe, one-on-one mobile grooming. Some popular breeds that often need haircuts include:

  • Poodles (Toy, Miniature, Standard under 55 lbs)
  • Doodles (Goldendoodle, Labradoodle, Aussiedoodle, Schnoodle, Cockapoo, etc.)
  • Bichon Frise
  • Shih Tzu
  • Yorkshire Terrier
  • Maltese
  • Lhasa Apso
  • Havanese
  • Cocker Spaniel
  • Portuguese Water Dog
  • Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
  • West Highland White Terrier (Westie)
  • Scottish Terrier
  • Miniature Schnauzer
  • Cairn Terrier
  • If you’re unsure whether your dog’s breed needs haircuts, feel free to ask — I’ll let you know what we can do.
How much do you charge for grooming?

My base price for standard grooming is $110 -covers the first hour. For Poodles and Poodle mixes (Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, Aussiedoodles, etc.), the base price is $125. Prices are based on a one-hour appointment, with a prorated fee for every 10 minutes over.

When is your next available appointment?

I usually book about 1-2 weeks in advance, though I always try to accommodate new clients whenever possible. Availability can vary depending on the size of your dog and the services requested, but I do my best to fit you in quickly.

How long does a grooming appointment take?

Most grooming sessions take anywhere from 60-90 minutes. Dogs with thicker coats, matting, or special needs may take longer.

Do you come to my area?

Yes, I serve Nashville, Franklin, Dickson, Bellevue, Fairview, West Nashville, Kingston Springs, and immediate surrounding Middle Tennessee communities.

What’s included in the base price?

Each grooming session includes a bath, haircut, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims and hand drying.

Do you offer ad-ons?

Yes, you can customize your pet’s groom with these add-ons:

Nail trimming – $15

Anal glands – $15

Teeth brushing: $25

Do you handle double-coated breeds (like Huskies or Shepherds)?

Yes, for deshedding and coat maintenance, as long as they are under 55 lbs.

Where do you park & do you need electric or water connection?

Service Requirements:
Flat parking space with no low-hanging trees or branches. No steep or loose gravel driveways. No parking garages (most don’t have the clearance I need)

Enough space for a 20’ van with room to turn around and within 100 feet of a water outlet.

If you live in an apartment building, I can usually park in the general parking lot as long as there’s a safe space available.

My grooming van is fully self-contained, but if there isn’t a nearby water source and I need to refill, I may be limited to the amount of fresh water I bring with me. In most cases, the water I arrive with is sufficient for your dog’s bath.

My dog is matted — can you remove the mats, or will you have to shave him?

If a dog is heavily matted, the safest and most comfortable option is usually to shave the coat short. Brushing out mats can be painful and stressful, so shaving allows the coat to grow back healthy.

After that, we can set up a regular schedule so matting doesn’t happen again.

If the coat is only lightly tangled on the surface, I may be able to brush or cut those areas out. Please keep in mind that detangling is time-consuming — it can take 30 minutes or more — and will add to the cost of the groom. I will give you my best assessment once I see your pup in person. For simple DOABLE detangling, see blog.

Do you require proof of vaccinations?

Yes, all dogs must be up-to-date on rabies vaccinations before their appointment.

If your dog has received at least one rabies vaccine at any point in their life, that is sufficient — they are considered immune for life. I do not require any other vaccinations besides rabies.

What if my dog bites during grooming?

I’m unable to groom dogs that bite or show aggression during the grooming process.

If the issue is only nail clipping, touching or trimming the feet, or shaving between the paw pads, I can often manage that safely. However, if your dog bites during bathing, drying, or brushing, I cannot provide service..

With over 35 years of hands-on experience, I specialize in making grooming safe, convenient, and comfortable for every pup. From hypoallergenic mobile baths in Fairview to emergency mobile dog grooming in Nashville, this page covers the most common questions pet parents ask before booking.

For a beautifully styled and perfectly groomed dog, the scissor finish is where the details truly shine."

★★★★★

We have been using this service with our sweet boy “rocket”. Much like his name he is quite the handful, but Natalie does a great job with him. He is always so clean and toenails cut when she is done. It never fails after we leave he always gets lots of compliments on how shiny his coat is! Their service is very professional, 1 on 1 so no other dogs barking to have yours scared, no caging, and the communication process is a breeze. We wouldn’t go anywhere else!
